life groups
Life Groups play a huge role in our church family. They are an essential place where you can get to know other believers and also allow other believers to get to know you. In Life Groups you're able to share the burdens and joys of life with others who will pray and rejoice with you and who will continue to point you to the truth of God's Word. Life Groups provide both space of rest where you can form new and deepen relationships as well as new opportunities to serve as many of our Life Groups embrace various serving projects together. We hope that everyone who attends High Point will find a Life Group to be a part of.
COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT LIFE GROUPS
What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of 7-10 adults plus children who gather weekly in homes to share, study, pray, and serve. All groups are led by designated leaders who receive oversight and support from the pastoral team. Most groups meet from 6:30 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday evenings and share either a meal or refreshments together. Normally, groups discuss a study based on the most recently preached Sunday Morning message.
Which Life Group should I attend?
You are welcome to choose the group that best fits you! Groups were initially formed and are currently identified geographically so we'd encourage you to join a group close to where you live. However, if another group makes sense to join we're completely open to that as well!
We divide groups geographically because we envision our Life Groups impacting their local neighborhoods. Also, we wanted our Life Groups to resemble families with Grandparents, parents, singles, teens, and kids. Almost all of our groups have a very healthy multi-generational mix.
How do I join a Life Group?
If you are interested in joining a Life Group spend a few minutes looking at our various groups and locations and try to identify which group makes sense for you. For any other questions, and help with getting connected to a life group leader, you can email our Discipleship Pastor, Phil Von.
