High Point and its affiliated entities, including High Point Baptist Chapel (HPBC), High Point Baptist Academy (HPBA), and High Point Camp (HPC) seek to protect the personal information of everyone who uses our services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and manage your personal information when you visit our websites, use our digital platforms, or attend our ministry or educational programs (collectively, the "Services").

 

  • Policy Modifications: We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to our sites.

II. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  • Financial Information: Bank account and payment card details provided for church donations, merchandise, or school tuition payments.

We use personal information to fulfill our mission to serve our congregation and students:

 

  • Worship and Educational Services: To coordinate ministry teams, manage program registrations (like Pre-K to 12th grade), and provide a safe learning environment.
     

  • Pastoral Care: To manage prayer requests and maintain confidential records for spiritual support.
     

  • Donations and Financial Stewardship: To process tithes, gifts, registration fees, and school payments, maintain accurate financial records, and issue annual tax receipts.
     

  • Employment and Volunteering: To process job applications, verify qualifications, conduct interviews, and coordinate volunteer participation.
     

IV. NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING

By attending High Point services, programs, or events, you acknowledge that you and any accompanying minors may be photographed or recorded.

 

  • Consent: Attendance constitutes your consent for High Point to use these recordings for lawful purposes, including on websites, social media, and promotional materials.
     

  • Opt-Out: Individuals who do not wish to be recorded are encouraged to access our virtually streamed programs from home instead.
     

V. DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF INFORMATION

We may share your information with trusted third parties for specific operational purposes:

 

  • Service Providers: Partners who assist with website hosting, payment processing (e.g., managing tuition or donations), or background check services.

VII. COMPLIANCE WITH CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA)

Our website services are not designed for or directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under age 13 through our digital platforms. If we learn such data has been collected online, we will promptly delete it.

High Point ("We", "Us", or "Our") owns and operates various digital platforms, including websites, mobile applications, streaming services, and donation portals (collectively, the "Services"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of these Services.

 

1. ACCEPTANCE AND MODIFICATIONS

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing the Sites, you are entering into a binding contract with High Point. If you do not agree, you should not use the Sites. We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time, and changes are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Sites constitutes your consent to those changes.

 

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP

  • Content Definition: "Content" includes all articles, text, designs, audio/video clips, graphics, software, computer code (HTML), scripts, and metadata visible on or permitting the Sites to operate.
     

  • Ownership: High Point exclusively owns or makes available the Sites and their Content.
     

  • Restrictions: You may not change, publish, transmit, sell, reproduce, or exploit any Content. Unauthorized use may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
     

  • Trademarks: High Point’s name and logos may not be used in connection with any product or service not under our control, or in any manner likely to cause confusion.
     

3. ACCEPTABLE USE & RESTRICTIONS

You must comply with the following when using the Services:

  • No AI/Machine Learning: You are prohibited from using or incorporating Content into any large learning model, AI model, or generative AI tool.
     

  • No Scraping: You may not use any robot, spider, or automated process to scrape or retrieve Content from the Sites.
     

  • No Unauthorized Sharing: You may not link or frame any pages of the Sites without advance written authorization.
     

  • No Harmful Behavior: You will not upload malware, viruses, ransomware, or other destructive files.
     

  • Protection of Minors: You will not disclose the image or personal information of a minor without the prior written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
     

4. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & CHRISTIAN CONCILIATION

 

ARBITRATION NOTICE: This section contains a mandatory mutual arbitration agreement and a waiver of jury trials.

 

  • Initial Reporting: Any dispute must first be reported in writing to a High Point representative for a 60-day good-faith resolution period.
     

  • Escalation: If unresolved, the dispute must be escalated to High Point’s Governing Authority (Board) for a 90-day period.
     

  • Binding Arbitration: If the dispute remains, it shall be settled through Biblically-based mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for Christian Conciliation of the Institute for Christian Conciliation.
     

  • Waiver of Class Action: Each party may proceed only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class action.
     

5. DONATIONS AND GIVING

  • Finality: All donations made to High Point are final and non-refundable.
     

  • Information Use: We collect personal and financial information to process transactions and provide annual giving statements.
     

  • Processing: Payments are handled by third-party service providers like Pushpay, Square, or Stripe.
     

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

  • Disclaimer: Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
     

  • Damage Cap: In no event shall High Point’s total liability for all damages exceed $100.
     

  • Indemnification: You agree to defend and hold harmless High Point against all claims, losses, and costs (including attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms.
     

7. MOBILE APPLICATIONS (APPLE/GOOGLE)

  • App Stores: These terms are between you and High Point, not Apple or Google.
     

  • Maintenance: High Point is solely responsible for maintenance and support of its Apps.
     

  • Third-Party Beneficiary: You acknowledge that Apple/Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.
